Updated: Sep 24, 2023

To mark the final day of Endometriosis Awareness Month we held our local launch event held at Porters Civic House & Mayor's Parlour in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The event was hosted by Member of Parliament for Southend-West Anna Firth, and Mayor of Southend Cllr Mayor Kevin Robinson.

On Friday March 31st, 2023, we marked the final day of Endometriosis Awareness Month by taking The Endometriosis Foundation back home to where it started in Southend-on-Sea, as we celebrated a milestone with those within the Southend community.

We celebrated with those closest to us over a delicious afternoon tea handmade and provided by La Petite Petanque as our guest chatted over bottomless teas, coffees, sandwiches and cakes.

We were joined by members from Solopress who have kindly chosen The Endometriosis Foundation as their 2023 female health charity - providing us with all our printing needs. We were also joined by the wonderful nurses from the South-east Essex Nurses Group SEEPING.

Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend-East, Sir James Duddridge along with representatives from our kind sponsor Karl Storz also joined us, as we celebrated and discussed our plans to establish support services for people affected by Endometriosis in Southend-on-Sea.

Karl Storz provided some fantastic insights into Endometriosis surgery during a show and tell presentation - providing opportunity for our guests to get hands on with their revolutionary equipment.

Paul Sayer, the founder of Prost8 cancer charity and Esther Taylor, the CEO of Lady McAdden Breast Cancer charity also joined us, and we shared our plans for the future of Endometriosis in Southend-on-Sea.
